How much can you get?
It depends on the distance of your flight, not on what you paid for your ticket. It is set by law and paid per passenger.
Paid per passenger, children included. A family of four on a long-haul delay could be owed up to £2,080. Long-haul delays of between three and four hours pay £260 each.

Free to claim.
No win, no fee.
It costs nothing to start and nothing if we lose. We only take our flat 30% fee, VAT included, out of compensation we actually win for you.

When flights go wrong, the law is on your side
UK and EU rules set fixed compensation for disruption the airline could have avoided. It is separate from any refund.

Covered in 31 countries
Fly out of the UK, the EU, Iceland, Norway or Switzerland and you are covered on any airline. Fly in, and you are covered on UK and European airlines.
Are you covered?
The rules are UK261 and EU261. Here is the short version. Our checker applies the full version to your flight.
You can usually claim if
- Your flight left from the UK or the EU, on any airline
- Or it landed in the UK or EU on a UK or EU airline
- You arrived three hours or more late, or the flight was cancelled within 14 days of departure, or you were denied boarding
- The cause was within the airline’s control, such as technical faults, crew shortages or late inbound aircraft
- The flight was in the last six years, or five in Scotland
You usually cannot claim if
- Severe weather, air traffic control restrictions or security alerts caused the disruption
- The airline told you about the cancellation 14 days or more before departure
- You arrived less than three hours late
- You accepted a voucher or settlement that waived your right to claim
Not sure? Check anyway. Airlines often blame “extraordinary circumstances” when the real cause was within their control. It takes 2 minutes and costs nothing to find out.

Frequently asked questions
See all FAQsWho is eligible for compensation?
Anyone on a flight departing the UK or EU, or arriving in the UK or EU on a UK or EU airline, that landed three hours or more late, was cancelled within 14 days of departure, or who was denied boarding.
How much could I be owed?
Up to £220 for flights under 1,500 km, up to £350 for 1,500 to 3,500 km, and up to £520 for longer flights. It depends on distance, not on what you paid for the ticket.
How long does it take?
Many airlines respond within a few weeks. If a claim has to go to court it can take several months. We keep you updated at every step.
How far back can I claim?
Up to six years in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and five years in Scotland. Time limits in EU countries vary.
Do I need the booking reference?
It helps, but it is not essential. Your flight number and date are enough to start. We will ask for your booking confirmation or boarding pass later.
What if the airline already refused me?
You can still claim. Airlines often reject valid claims the first time. We review the reason they gave and challenge it where the law is on your side.
How does your fee work?
No win, no fee. If we win, our fee is a flat 30% of your compensation including VAT. If we do not win, you pay nothing. There is no extra charge if your claim goes to court.
Can I claim without you?
Yes. You can always claim directly from the airline for free. We exist for people who would rather not spend the time, or who have already been refused.

Travelling together? Everyone on the booking can claim.
Compensation is per passenger, children included. A family of four on a long-haul delay could be owed up to £2,080.
